Mitsubishi is excited to help buyers compare the 2024 Outlander to the Nissan Pathfinder to discover all the benefits of owning an Outlander purchased from our dealership. You are sure to be aware that we sell a record number of Outlanders at our dealership, and we are ready to show you why this is such a popular SUV.
The 2024 Outlander SUV seats up to seven, while the slightly larger Nissan Pathfinder can seat seven or eight, depending on the selected seating configuration. The size of the Outlander is slightly smaller, making it just a bit more nimble and easy to handle in tight spaces and when parking. The warranty on the Outlander is five years or 60,000 miles, while the Pathfinder offers three years and 36,000 miles. It is also worth noting that the Outlander includes three service visits to cover your first two years of ownership and a 10-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
The Outlander features a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine delivering 181 horsepower and a continuously variable transmission. The Pathfinder offers two engines in the 3.5-liter range V-6 and an automatic transmission. The engines hit 284 and 295 horsepower, respectively. As expected, the larger engine in the Pathfinder also has a greater towing capacity of 3,500 to 6,000 pounds compared to the 2,000-pound limit of the Outlander. But the reward for the smaller engine is in the fuel efficiency. The Outlander reaches 24 mpg in the city and up to 31 on the highway. The best that the Pathfinder can do is 21 in the city and 27 on the highway. The larger engine drops those numbers to 20 and 23, respectively.
The safety features on these vehicles are very similar, with both including these standard features:
Both vehicles also offer optional around-view cameras and a heads-up display for added safety and reduced driver distraction.
When shopping for a new SUV, the first item that most buyers consider is their budget. With that being said, the Outlander is more affordable, with a base MSRP of $29,840, compared to the price of the Pathfinder, which starts at $37,175. With a difference of over $7,300, the Outlander is a more reasonable investment for many buyers looking for a larger capacity but do not need excessive power or towing capacity. The added savings due to increased fuel economy make the Mitsubishi Outlander a favorite for many SUV buyers.
The choice to invest in a Mitsubishi Outlander from Premier Mitsubishi is a popular one as we set the record for the most Outlanders ever sold. Part of that fantastic record is due to the quality, durability, and affordability of this incredible SUV, and part is due to the exceptional team here at Premier Mitsubishi. Please stop by our dealership in Casa Grande to meet the team and see the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander.
